Now then FD. Never mind the new car. (so passé)
Let us dogonaughts do all the angst and hand wringing stuff.
As a national living treasure…….
You really should be thinking about buying a new boat.

Few so noisy as those who allege they are the silent majority.
There are other comments sections, even on Crikey, which are like some nightmarish family occasion at the local bowls club, with everyone liquored up enough to bang on about their cranky views with no reference to external reality.
And iceberg lettuce everywhere.

Take Care Where You Tread, Pilgrim
When I got out of my trundle bed
I noticed that I wasn’t dead
I had the gift of another day
So, off to work to while away
This little chunk of time today
And sift through ideas in my head.
Like sardines on the train we zoom.
Everyone standing near to me
Reeked badly of the smell of doom.
And when I got there in my cubicle room,
All I could sense was the smell of doom.
I turned on my computer screen
Doom was everywhere to be seen.
I squinted at the PC screen.
It blinked cold doom straight back you see.
I decided it was time for tea.
But the smell of doom still followed me.
I bagged myself a cup or three
And thought of you in misery
But then a powerful thought came through:
I decided to examine my left shoe.
Well there it was for all to see
Sticking to my soul tenaciously
I’d trodden in a chunk of doom
And to feel better all I had to do
Was to unlace myself from that f*ckin’ shoe.
Apologies to Leunig who had the idea first up

No-one can match you, Firsty.
A marvellous caveat: ‘ *unless it is’.
