Why is Gillard so stubborn on this except to appease the bigots. She appeases the racists with the trafficking of refugees, she appeases the miners and waters down the tax, she appeases the bigots with this marriage inequality.
Great speech on every level including discussing the issues of people re transgender and intersex. These issues rarely get mentioned yet are as powerful an argument as any other for marriage equality.
All this fuss about same sex marriage. In most marriages sex stays the same year in year out.
