To be fair, rural areas aren’t really Labor’s strength, and one of the Coalition parties is almost predominantly rural (and the other is trying to take it over). The ALP are always going to have a lower representation. The number of rural frontbenchers going *up* after the (ALP) reshuffle is actually quite impressive when you consider that quite a few of them were demoted after coming out for Rudd.
