Ergo I resolved not to read 100% of Oz newspapers. Maths is such fun.

We say science is science fiction
That’s Mr. Murdoch’s way
If we don’t like the prediction
We’ll throw all the books away
Think what you’re told or you’ll be called naive
You needn’t believe, no you needn’t believe
It’s dumb to believe
Never thought that we’d last this long
Always thought that they’d cotton on
They can’t tell we’re wrong
All that science is science fiction
If you ignore what they say
Just pollute without restriction
We’ve thrown all the books away

And 100% of dogonauts are now headbangers. Thanks for another Absolute Truth, dog#1.
Off-topic but in perhaps better news, while considering matters celestial yesterday, I realised our recent prime ministers have created a consecutive list in the zodiac: Howard was a Leo (probably still is); then we got the Virgo Rudd, followed by the Libran Powerfox – now we have the Scorpio Rabbott. True we went backwards for a couple months with Krudd II – Unplugged, but you can’t have everything.
That means the next PM should be a Sagittarian (like the Silver Bodgie and Ming). I have checked all the baton-carriers on both sides and only one fits the bill.
And the winner is – Tanya!
Just thought you’d like to know.

There was a time when the news was just that; news. You read the paper , listened to the wireless,(or tranny), or watched the news for the information it supplied. Our most watched TV programs every night, like the tonight shows or the serials/soaps used to be very entertaining; now, they are replaced by the news programs. They are provided as “entertainment”. No information programs or papers anymore; (or entertainment by the looks of it).
“Editorial control” is now a ratings driven sensationalist grab, followed by cee you en T party political indoctrination, a dog story, the sport and the weather. and thats just the abc.
