Who would have thought we would get the Prozac Nation effect without the use of Prozac? Or has it been in the water all the time? Slapped a horse on the rump last week and it galloped into a tree. I swore at the horse trader; “you tried to sell me a blind horse”. He replied, “Nah hes not blind; he just couldnt give a f&ck anymore”. Just wonderful
Magnificent effort today FD.
The artwork matches the message beautifully. Bravo!

Yes, so many citizens just want to be told what to think and what to do. It’s all too hard, you see.

We’re not even allowed to use the names of asylum seekers in Court – their names are suppressed and letters are used instead, for security reasons of course. The extent of deliberate dehumanisation of these people, for political gain, is horrifying.
Worse still is that it works. Australia has not been f*cked over by war, our representative democracy is okay, inequality is relatively low. We don’t need to unite against an imagined other to come together as a nation. Anyone who demonises people in need so as to suggest that we’re under attack should be thrown out of government. Instead, we endorsed these tactics by voting them in. Incomprehensible. Maybe I’ll understand better when I become a busy mum.

There’s something very Catholic about all this, being told what to think, who to believe, things kept secret from the congregation, in spite of evidence to the contrary. I wonder whether Toady secretly thinks he’s infallible..
