Seven’s night, in metro and regional markets. And the win included Melbourne, where Seven has been particularly weak this year. And in the most-watched programs, it was again a case of ranking deja vu all over again with My Kitchen Rules (Seven) top with 2.415 million national / 1.664 million metro / 751,000 regional viewers, followed by The Block (Nine) with 1.896 million / 1.302 million/ 594,000.
Seven rang two episodes of Winners & Losers. The first averaged from 8.45pm 1.471 million / 968,000 / 503,000 and was beaten by the fresh and repeat episodes of The Big Bang Theory on Nine. But the second episode of W&L from 9.45pm averaged 1.272 million / 860,000 / 412,000 and pushed Seven past Nine on the night. Without that second episode, Seven would have struggled on the night.
Nine has another big win in the 6pm to 7pm news battle, winning Sydney by 61,000 viewers, Melbourne by 103,000 and Brisbane by 68,000. Seven’s six o’clock pain continues. Home and Away won the 7pm battle easily with 1.503 million / 972,000 / 531,000. And Ten, fourth again, with The Biggest Loser dragging down NCIS, again.
And Revenge’s figures on Monday night didn’t include Adelaide, where it was pre-empted to allow a catch-up of My Kitchen Rules (Sunday night’s episode was pre-empted by the AFL).
