Call it a guilty pleasure, but there’s almost nothing Crikey does that gets as much recurring interest as our media couples list. But we haven’t updated our list of media power couples since 2010, so we thought we’d use the January lull to see about that.
The last time we did this, the list had more than 250 couples. This one is considerably shorter. We had to start from scratch. Many of the names on our old lists are no longer working in media or are no longer together. For this list, we’ve included high-profile couples working at national news organisations who have been together for a significant amount of time. If you can think of anyone we’ve missed, get in touch. As always, this is a work in progress.

incestuous little lot, gave up reading half way through. Are any of them good journos? Just the facts, the facts!
One could be forgiven for mistaking this for an article from Woman’s Day.
Please Crikey, do not proceed down this path in 2016, your subscribers deserve better.
This is private information and should not be disclosed in this way, except with the consent of the people concerned.
I am surprised to find this list in the only Australian media publication that has expressed any concern about increasing encroachments on our privacy, particularly those that occur in the absence of any public interest for disclosure.
I would not be happy if my name were included in such a list.
The only time it would be appropriate would be:
(a) if my relationship created a conflict of interests and compromised my journalistic ethics,
(b) if I used public money to hire, promote or benefit my otherwise unqualified partner,
(c) if David Marr finally returned any of my calls and agreed to go out with me.
Please reconsider the inclusion of this fluff in your serious publication.
Bloody hell. There is a clear public interest in the relationships in the media that forges so much of our public discourse!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………
are you telling me that there are no gay or lesbian high profile couples in the MSM # find that strange if its true
There are two couples on the list, and we’re all for suggestions for more.
