While the election is not officially on, that’s not enough to stop the major political parties turning to their supporters and asking for money. A tipster received an email poll from the Victorian branch of the Liberal Party, saying:
“We need your backing at this year’s election. It’s crucial that you show your support for Prime Minister Turnbull and his team now so he knows you’re with him and we can keep you updated with the latest news and information.”
It also included a poll, asking if the reader supports “the Turnbull Government’s efforts to build a 21st Century economy for Australia’s future?”. Our tipster voted in the negative, and received the following response:
“We’re sorry to hear that you’re not backing a brighter, more innovative and secure future. You will no longer receive email communications from us.”
Maybe the Victorian Liberals just lost the chance to convince another voter?
