Nine’s night in metro markets, but in the regions it was Seven’s night thanks to very strong figures for House Rules and the news. The ABC snuck past Ten (with Masterchef in its line up!).
Nationally, The Voice (1.799 million) and House Rules and its full house reveal (1.689 million) dominated the night with Ten’s Masterchef squeezed a little, but still grabbing a solid 1.244 million people. Seven News though topped overall with 2.096 million viewers.
In the regions, House Rules was tops with 659,000 viewers, followed by Seven News with 653,000. The Voice was on 556,000, Nine News 547,000 and the 7pm ABC News had 432,000 viewers. 60 Minutes had 1.084 million national viewers and Sunday night had 1.007 million.
In the morning, Insiders averaged 560,000 national viewers on ABC and News 24 (409,000 on ABC, and 151,000 on News 24). The election had no impact on the ratings for the week’s other programs.
Midsomer Murders continued its viewer eradication program, with at least three killings as viewers cheered it to 1.145 million national viewers.
Another Monday night and a couple of programs worth watching: Australian Story for a commando raid in Afghanistan that went wrong (the first of two parts) and Four Corners’ report on political donations.
