It’s official. Today’s California primary will clinch the Democratic nomination for Hillary Clinton, though her Democratic opponent Bernie Sanders has vowed to keep on keeping on, for reasons unclear at this point. But the Democrats have now locked down their challenger to Donald Trump, who seems to needs some challenging.
The presumptive nominee’s Trump University is in legal hot water for being, well, a scam, but he thinks it’s the ethnicity of the judge that is the problem. He tweeted: “I should have easily won the Trump University case on summary judgement but we have a judge, Gonzalo Curiel, who is totally biased against me.”
To clarify why Curiel (who was born in the US) would be biased against him, Trump doubled down: “He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings. “
House Speaker Paul Ryan said one of the few sensible things he’s said in this campaign: “Claiming a person can’t do their job because of their race is sort of like the textbook definition of a racist comment.”
But he says he’ll vote for Trump anyway. “It’s absolutely unacceptable. But do I believe that Hillary Clinton is the answer? No, I do not.”
It’s not official, the superdelegates do not actually vote until the convention, and Bernie’s campaign is continuing because he hopes to change their mind from their declaration of what they say will be their vote at the convention. Maybe not likely, but possible.
Curiel sounds like a rational human being – no wonder Donald ducks him.
As for Ryan, if Trump is the answer ……?
What is wrong with Ryan I use to like him, but day but day he become someone I do not know anymore. Looks for me that he is in the wrong job.
Shocking stuff, Crikey. Imagine if the racist candidate won, what a topsy turvy world America would become! Cops shooting people in the streets, eternal war, mass deportations, and internal warcrimes and assassinations.
It is a good thing we have the Not Racist candidates, you can pick from the following:

hello Crikey, welcome to the lazy world of mainstream media sheeps-bum commentary.
‘official’ actually has a meaning and it isn’t ‘I think it’s deffo going to happen, so it’s official!’ or ‘someone sent an anonymous poll around and told everyone what the vote in 6 weeks would be, so don’t worry about the actual process!’ or whatever you happen to mean by ‘official’.
