After millions of election flyers, thousands of phone calls, hundreds of hours of news reports, dozens of polls and countless barrels of ink, both literal and virtual, this is it. You will decide if Australia will wake up on Sunday morning a fundamentally different place or whether Malcolm Turnbull will finally have a mandate to govern.
It’s easy to be too cool for school and see voting as a chore, but there are millions of people around the world who are willing to risk their lives for the privilege. We won’t now and won’t ever tell you who to vote for — but we hope you’ll have fun doing it (fleur-de-lis always a popular option). Josh Taylor has today prepared everything you need to know, from where to get a democracy sausage to how to vote below the line. And our very own Poll Bludger, William Bowe, will tell you the seats to watch out for at your election night party.
And tomorrow night we hope you’ll have Antony Green on one screen and us on another, as we will be live blogging every bellwether, election night quirk and the parties’ parties. Vote early, vote joyfully, and we’ll see you on Saturday night. And who knows what we’ll see on Sunday morning?
I must say, I am very dissapointed with all media election coverage, and lack of balance.
Disappointed you may, and should, be but why would anyone be surprised by mudorc’s mendacious myrmidons?
After money doesn’t just talk, it swears, traduces, undermines, betrays and destroys any who stand in the way of accumulating more of the filthy lucre.
Pity with watching Antony Green is the rest of that ABC package – hosted by Selma and Patty Bouvier.
