Seven’s Between Two Worlds (BTW) has already been shunted off to 10pm (which is at the end of prime time) for a miserable 267,000. More money down the drain for Seven.
A repeat of Seven’s Anita Cobby special (about a grisly Sydney murder) managed 495,000 which was not much more than BTW got the week before.
The big news from last night apart from BTW’s demotion to the holding pens for thanksgiving was the confirmation of another turkey — the finale of Bachelor In Paradise — 621,000 for the final decision, 530,000 for the lead-up and 579,000 average across the whole program.
Not good enough for such an expensive format. No pizzazz. No wonder Ten had another less than 19% share for its main channel. Only women 16 to 39 watched in any numbers.
Farmer Wants A Wife on Seven (1.325 million) did better in the demos and total people, as did Nine’s Ninja Warrior with 1.47 million.
Nine won the night from a weak Seven with the ABC third and Ten fourth.
Vera (1.030 million) stood out. It might have been a different demo to Bachelor in Purgatory but 400,000 extra viewers are not to be sneezed at.
Insiders on ABC TV on a wet morning, 612,000 and equal 10th nationally.
In regional markets Seven News, 598,000, Farmer Wants A Wife, 511,000, Nine/NBN News, 436,000; the 7pm ABC News, 390,000, Australian Ninja Warrior, 376,000.
