Viewers of Ten, Nine and Seven snored as the ABC entertained the masses, again on a Wednesday.

From 7.30pm onwards the ABC led the night in prime time with 7.30 (892,000), Hard Quiz, 950,000 (the most watched non-news program) and Gruen, 920,000. Reputation Rehab at 9pm, 513,000.

Seven won because of the now-usual large margin over Nine in the 6pm news slot and a solid showing by Home and Away (903,000).

Nine is running dead.

The ARIAs 7.30 to 9.30pm, 404,000 in what was essentially public service programming. The ABC was third in total people and in the main channels and well ahead of Ten which is battening down for an ultra low cost summer.

In breakfast Sunrise, 479,000/288,000 viewers; ABC News Breakfast, 298,000/195,000; Today, 295,000 and 198,000. 

In regional markets: Seven News, 469,000; Seven News 6.30, 464,000; Home and Away, 352,000; The Chase Australia 5.30pm, 288,000; 7pm ABC News, 285,000.
