Welcome to Crikey’s Electioncast, a new podcast offering an independent and honest look at the politics and policy in the lead-up to the 2022 Australian federal election polling day. Each day, Crikey’s journalists will give you a no-spin look at what Australia’s politicians are doing to win your votes.
On the second day of the campaign, Crikey‘s Cam Wilson speaks to Imogen Champagne about the big questions about the election’s social media battle ground: what are the major parties doing online? Is TikTok going to have a big impact, and is anyone bloody paying attention to the election yet?
Electioncast is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify and wherever you listen to your podcasts.
Albo has to realise that he has a big job ahead of him in this election.
Morrison is a very seasoned performer and his intelligent spin cycles have proven very effective on the Australian voter and the weak and compliant media. He is also a seasoned liar which has also been proven and whilst we need an intelligent leader, we don’t need an intelligent liar as well to run this country. If all we get from Albo is an honest toiler with the ability to grow into the role of PM, Australia will be better off for at least the next decade.

While Albo’s unemployment gaff was not a good look seems to me it might be nearer the mark than the official figure. If a person employed for as little as one hour a week is officially considered to be employed then the figures could be very misleading. Under employment is a problem for many people.
