If you could change just one thing about Australia, what would it be?
To boost the power of the organised working class in society relative to capital.
What is the worst thing anyone has ever said to you?
Unrepeatable rubbish from right-wingers at protests and on picket lines.
What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?
Coming to the realisation that it’s not enough for me to just be politically progressive. I can do the best good within communities fighting for change from the bottom up.
Who or what do you see as the biggest threat to Australia?
Climate change.
Which historical figure do you most admire and why?
Tiberius Gracchus, the tribune of the plebeians in the old Roman republic. Under his leadership ordinary citizens won major reforms from the Roman elite and nearly revolutionised the state.
What would your final meal be?
Load me up with the creamiest desserts! I want to die the way I’ve lived.

Good God. I guess I’ll be the only one to comment on this poor sod. And the only criticism I will make is that he has again chosen a figure from a bygone era and from another country. A Roman senator. Why not Spartacus? If you really want to go that far back. Good to see that the Left in this country can’t name people from this country that inspires them.
