After an interval of about 65 years Fascism is back in fashion. Dr. Goebbels would have been delighted with this presentation. The only thing missing were the swastikas and the regular thump of jackboots on cobblestones. The lunatic right in North America is becoming a serious threat to democratic freedom because of its gross misrepresentation of political events. The fact that Sarah Pailin is receiving so much publicity would indicate that a significant proportion of the American population need psychiatric help which they are unlikely to get. Paranoid obsession of this typewill eventually lead to some grievous confrontation when some nutcase decides to take matters into his own hands. I can only hope and pray this does not happen (and I am an atheist).
The voiceover should have finished with “.. brought to the screen by Jerry Bruckheimer”. Too corny to be true – I hope.
I can’t wait for the crikey dvd review of this one!
