A $1.00 pre-authorisation charge may appear on your bank statement. This charge is temporary and should be removed within 7 days.

This is a standard process taken to confirm the validity of new credit card details in a payment system, also known as a pre-authorisation hold. Though it may appear to have been debited, no money has actually been deducted from your account. It will usually take at least 7 days for your bank to remove the amount from your transaction history.
