This is the best thing I have ever seen on motivation but i want to send it to a few parents and other people who need help – in my opinion of course.

The take away from this is:
1.What’s reinforcing, that is, what drives behaviour is what people find intrinsically moviating. The assumption is that most people find money motivating. That’s not the case, especially if you have money. The simple way to ask people what they find motivating is to ask them what they want. Having worked with software programmers for nearly 20 years i can tell you that money is not a major motivator – rather the opportunity to do something different or experiment is highly motivating.
2. Purpose can simply be defined as “why am i doing this and what’s at stake for me, my family, the earth…?” Most leaders in the corporate world don’t tap into this. They don’t create a purpose that people can relate to or want to be part of. Hence they lose the ability to create engagement.
So why do we pay anyone especially managers, bankers, directors of public companies salaries or fees of more than $500,000?
Around the 3 minute mark the video said that people’s performance improves with a modest financial reward but performance is worse with a very large financial reward.
