It seems that a piece in today’s Herald Sun
reporting how new Telstra CEO, Sol Trujillo, has been sussing out a $10
million dollar mansion in Melbourne’s up market South Yarra, has got
the folks at Telstra a little hot under the collar.
Crikey
contacted Telstra’s media affairs office earlier today looking for a
comment on the Vizard case from deputy chairman, John Ralph, but before
we could get a word in Crikey was listening to a Telstra spinner
stringently denying that Solly was looking to buy in Melbourne. “It’s
rubbish, it’s not true at all.”
The report, by brand new Herald Sun recruits Nicole Lindsay (from The Fin) and Fleur Leyden (The Age), says Solly may have decided to put down roots in Melbourne after looking at the six-bedroom mansion yesterday.
It
looks like the folks at Telstra are keeping a close eye on Crikey’s
coverage of the controversial new CEO and are more than happy to take a
