If you want them to have any value, opinion poll questions are supposed to be neutral. But The Age may have reached a new low with its terrorism questions today:
“What
part of the proposed terror laws do you most dislike?” asks the Spencer
Street Soviet. “Shoot to kill authority; restrictions on social
contacts and work for terror suspects; life imprisonment for giving
funds to a terror group; detaining suspects for two weeks without
charge; another part of the proposed laws – or do you think we need
tougher laws”?
The laws ain’t nice – but this reeks of push polling.
