Liberal voters seem happy with the new duumvirate, according to Roy Morgan Reactor research. In contrast, they can’t stand the ALP.
The problem is – as Morgan’s polling of voting intention shows – only 36% of voters say they’re voting Liberal.
They are hard core. Rusted on. The true believers, to borrow their rivals’ phrase.
Coalition supporters responded well to the Coalition team – particularly Joe Hockey and Peter Costello – coming in behind their leader, John Howard, on the weekend, according to a special Morgan Poll conducted in the last 24 hours using the Reactor –Morgan’s online real time reaction device based on an Australia-wide sample of 240 L-NP supporters.
The Reactor this week shows all Coalition spokespeople – John Howard, Tony Abbott, Alexander Downer, Joe Hockey and Peter Costello spoke well to their supporters.
The Blue line (Coalition supporters) escalated dramatically when each one came in behind their Leader John Howard and supported his decision to lead the team to the coming election.
Trouble is it’s a thin blue line. Can it thicken before election day?
