Not so Heavy Kevvie: Canberra folks are wondering out aloud if
that nice Mr Rudd has been a bit quieter over the past fortnight. He
remains quietly friendly towards his comrades, but is he biding his
time, perchance? There’s not much point in lobbying when no-one is
really interested.
All over by Christmas for the Gold Coast Council: Peter Beattie
needs a good news story. He likes action. There are some interesting
selective leaks coming from the Crime & Misconduct Commission
inquiry into the Council’s links with developers, due to recommence on
November 7. Is the Government about to give Council the chop?
