Dear Christian: As a former staffer to Amanda Vanstone, do
you know whether she doesn’t see her gag about Elton John’s I’m Still Standing and
the Solon scandalhumour is inappropriate and tasteless or whether she just doesn’t care? If the
department is accused of catastrophic behaviour, surely it’s not the time for
ministerial jokes?

Dear Neil: I think I have the perfect song for Amanda
today. It’s by the Bee Gees. Can you guess what it might be? “I started a joke,
which started the whole world crying/But I didn’t see/That the joke was on me…”

PS. Have a dekko at Amanda’s website.
While the full text of the Palmer Report was posted there, all we get
on Neil Comrie’s investigations is her official media release.
