If machine man par excellence John Howard had any doubts he got it wrong on an apology yesterday, he’s under no illusions by today, across every front page, and 5 tv channels simultaneously. Not even the Iraq war got Howard that kind of exposure.
Those who chose to turn their backs had the right to do so. To be the only living past Prime Minister not in attendance was ungracious. Had he attended he would have gained stature in my eyes and in the eyes of many others. That would have taken courage.
Well I take my hat of to him. I turned my television off. I did not want to hear that apology I dont thinkg it was our place to give it.
