Last week at the Sydney Kings game I spotted recently retired Mac Banking CEO Bill Moss hosting American superstars Bone Thugs and Harmony, Kurupt and Snoop Doggs cousins in his private box… is he getting into the record industry? How many outstanding FOI applications with agencies is Michael McKinnon trying to take with him to Channel 7? Has anyone at News Ltd checked what they have paid for, what outstanding requests there are, and what McKinnon plans to do with them? He wouldn’t be trying to get News Ltd to pay for FOI-oriented stories he’s planning to unveil at Channel 7? From 1st March, Telstra will no longer allow customers to connect to the “low cost” PSTN service (Budgetline) – with a $20 line rental fee – if the customer wants to use a “non-Telstra” Broadband ADSL ISP. They will have to use a higher cost line – “Homeline Complete” (at least presumably) at $27 mth. Effectively, Telstra are saying “…if you want to use our copper lines and you don’t want us to provide your ADSL, you’ll have to pay at least $27 mth line rental… the “low cost” option is not available…” Send your tips to boss@crikey.com.au or submit them anonymously here.
