I just wish Christopher Hitchens could have been another Gore Vidal. Gore Vidal didn’t switch like the Hitch.
Gore he loved it ..
And on a couple of occasions Buckley threatened to punch him out for his various positions, LITERALLY as he made clear when Vidal thought him merely posturing.
Ah, the frisson. Vidal and Buckley sure make the differences of opinion on Q&A pale by comparison.
