Sydney news reading legend Brian Henderson will be back on the box this week “top and tailing” a three part special on the Queen’s Windsor Castle, while Nine gives McLeod’s Daughters a mid-year rest.
Hendo will be reading all his links from an autocue, which is a good thing given his apparent off the cuff remark in a promotional interview in the Sydney Daily Telegraph at the weekend.
Hendo claimed that he had been approached and offered the 6pm News reading gig at Seven by David Leckie, but Leckie has denied, on the record (a rare thing for him) ever offering anything to Brian Henderson. Ian Ross is now doing the 6pm News and Hendo was at his bitchy best in describing Roscoe as settling in nicely after a nervy start.
