The ABC must be overloaded with work – why
else would it appoint two new executive producers, one of whom, Erik
Dwyer, was one of Nine’s most successful lifestyle producers in the 90s?

His gigs will include overseeing a new program
starring Clive Robertson, which must impress the producer who was
working up the idea, Ingrid Arnott. His other responsibility is known
around Ultimo as the List Program (the ABC’s version of the Nine Network’s 20 to 1).

And why the need for a new EP for these programs? Overwork.

Tim
Clark is a senior Executive Producer in the general factual area of ABC
TV programming run by Denise Eriksen. But it seems Clark has been
overloaded with work, what with the local version of Operatunity
for next year and the Peking to Paris car race series that’s proving to
be this year’s embarrassment for the national broadcaster.

It
was supposed to be ready for screening this month, but a decision was
made in September to postpone it until the New Year because the
workload was so high. A new writer was brought in to redraft the first two
episodes and the first one was finished last week.
Work continues on the remaining three with hopes that a marketable
product will emerge for ABC TV and ABC Enterprises.
