From Media Week: Former NRMA president Nicholas Whitlam says he will sue the Nine Network for
defamation over a feature story that aired on the Sunday program. The story,
which first aired on March 11, 2001, included excerpts of an interview with
Whitlam by journalist John Lyons. Whitlam announced his intention to sue
following a NSW Supreme Court decision which ruled that the NRMA would have to
indemnify him for his legal costs in pursuing the television network.
