This is a worrying development, oh canine lunar conscience of the blogosphere.

FD; Look at it the same way as a proctologist performing an inyourendo examination would. He is looking through a sophisticated tubular camera, a metre long, trying to find microscopic cancer cells. If he misses the bad cells you will die. If he takes a sample that looks dodgy, and it is OK, you never hear about it.
The politicians and lawyers become involved when it becomes public about what sex the person performing the inyourendo is, and whether it is for business or pleasure.

DRMICK, while we’re on the topic of back door examinations, my cousin wanted to know, after the examination when he would receive the chockies and roses, since they now had a special relationship.

MJ, have you been reading Dave Barry perchance?
I detect a mistake in that targeted turtle letter – Interpol normally sign off “Warm renditions…”

Great toon as per usual, O Highly Apposite Canine.
That ratchet also gets a workout in the quiet systematic de-funding of public resources and services essential for the punters who don’t live in electorates like Tony’s and Joe’s.
dr mick, yes, good analogy.
Except that in this case the patient (me) would prefer to risk not being diagnosed at all, because the alternative (colonoscopy) is so very invasive, painful and politically unacceptable to me and many other citizen-turtles.
Plus nobody has asked me whether or not I want that intervention to be part of my local health service.
