I thought the parrot was squawking on sydney radio? The reason he nearly preens himself is because of his dodgy prostate. They became extinct because like gloria, they didn’t know whether they were Arthur or Martha and didn’t care.

Given that the non-Gloria night parrot appears to be preening on pebblecrete, I’d guess it was just resting by one of Gina the GFBT’s pools. Probably tired out after a particularly long sqweeeerk. Beautiful plumage. Chrisywissying for the fiords….
