No My Kitchen Rules on Seven, so Nine wins with The Block and its The Block:Unlocked half hour addendum at 8pm. Ten was again very weak. The ABC’s main channel clearly beat Ten’s mix of The Biggest Loser and the Winter Games which viewers are just so over.
The Block had 1.673 million national/ 1.102 million metro/ 571,000 regional viewers and the Unlocked episode which followed had 1.386 million national/858,000 metro/ 528,000 regional viewers. Ten’s The Biggest Loser had 520,000 national/355,000 metro/ 165,000 regional viewers. The second series of The ABC’s The Checkout returned with a solid audience of 1.048 million national/716,000 metro/ 332,000 regional viewers. It easily beat Ten’s main channel, as did 7.30 with 1.031 million national/ 678,000 national/ 353,000 regional viewers.
The special Q&A with IMF boss Christine Lagarde had 579,000 viewers nationally on ABC1 and News 24. It also had more viewers than The Biggest Loser and Nine’s Sherlock, which averaged 481,000 nationally (but wasn’t shown in Perth). Those were good numbers for a pretty dry program like Q&A and Lagarde talking about economic growth, debt, climate change etc. That’s encouraging.
In the morning Seven’s Sunrise with 376,000 metro viewers, beat a surprisingly weak Today on Nine with 270,000. Nine News clearly beatSeven News by a big margins, again.
