My Kitchen Rules (2.407 million national) was back in Seven’s schedule last night and that was the end of proceedings. Seven won metro and regional markets easily as a result and scooped up the demos into the bargain.
Ten’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (1.012 million national) lost viewers, but held up quite well compared to The Block (1.070 million national, down 400,000 from Sunday night) on Nine which took a real whacking. I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is due to end on Sunday March 15. It had 170,000 more viewers last night than the previous Monday. Building nicely. Will Ten renew for 2016? Ten’s offerings though were not well-watched in regional markets, again where the main channel share fell under 10% (9.6%).
Despite that strength, Ten was again left behind by the ABC’s strong news and current affairs line up last night, from the news through to Q&A which ran second behind Seven for much of the night. Nine said A Current Affair had its highest audience of the year so far with 989,000 metro viewers. It has yet to crack the million viewer level in the metros this year and has had a slower start to 2015 than a year ago. At the moment a revitalised ABC News is doing very well. Home and Away is off its usual 900,000 plus figure some nights, but still very strong in regional markets and nationally. Nine’s Gallipoli had 754,000 national viewers, including just 479,000 in metro markets). Sadness. Revenge averaged 1.002 million national viewers including 661,000 in metro markets. That was down from last week.
In the morning Nine’s Today with 307,000 got close to Seven’s Sunrise (322,000) in metro markets. Nationally it’s Sunrise, then daylight, then Today.
