Not Seven’s night last night as the three reality programs — Masterchef Australia, House Rules and Reno Rumble — again went head to head in a rather fruitless battle for supremacy. Masterchef Australia won the night with more than 1.5 million national viewers over House Rules with 1.278 million and Reno Rumble with 1.146 million. That’s despite Reno Rumble having more viewers in metro markets (828,000 to 789,000). House Rules easily dominated the regionals with 519,000 viewers. Reno Rumble had 318,000 and Masterchef had 361,000. Home and Away topped the night in regional markets with 539,000 viewers. And that was the night.

Nine won the metros and regionals, Ten’s main channel was second behind Nine in the metros, pushing Seven back to third.
