An easy win last night by Seven thanks to My Kitchen Rules, which ends tonight, and so does Reno Rumble. Remember that proud bearer of Nine’s fortunes after Australia’s Got Talent flopped? Seven won in total people and all the demos in the metros and regional markets.

MKR had 2.354 million national including 1.633 million metro viewers. Criminal Minds Beyond Borders debuted after MKR and averaged 1.059 million viewers. It was OK, but reminded me of CSI New York.

The top five most watched programs in regional markets were: MKR with 721,000; Home and Away with 548,000; Nine News, 508,000; ABC News, 385,000 and Criminal Minds Beyond Borders, 382,000.

Seven won last week and Sunday night, easily, thanks to My Kitchen Rules. Ten’s main channel share in Brisbane on Sunday night was just 4.6%, believed to be close to an all time low, if not the lowest. Masterchef’s start is much awaited at the Ten bunker in Ultimo. Today won last week, again, in metro breakfast, despite a big win by Sunrise on Friday.

On Sunday night, 60 Minutes and its family reunion/mea culpa episode averaged 746,000 metro viewers, beaten by Midsomer Murders with 778,000. Fiction beating faction? And Dazza Somers’ You’re Back In The Room died its expected death on the final two nights of its existence — 587,000 on Sunday night in the metros and 565,000 last night. That’s half the opening night figure and we won’t see it again or Dazza, unless Nine is really desperate. Then again … ?
