Apart from the NRL game on Nine, a repeat of The Vicar of Dibley on 7TWO, 7.30 on the ABC, and the various news broadcasts it was a case of wake me up until the pointy end of the TDF’s second individual time trial happened just after midnight. Couldn’t make it until then, so caught up on SBS at 7am today and great rides by Froome and Porte.

Masterchef Masterclass managed 1.541 million national and number 3. That included 1.148 million metro (number 1 on the night) And that was the night. Ten cleaned up the main channels and the demos, so we can ignore Seven’s small win in Total People. Seven was a solid winner in the regions, as usual.

In the regions Seven’s News was again tops with 637,000 viewers, followed by Seven News/Today Tonight with 524,000, Home and Away was third with 501,000, The Chase Australia 5.30pm was fourth with 439,000 and the 7pm ABC News was fifth with 380,000.

In Breakfast, Sunrise had a big metro win over Today, 328,000 to 296,000.
