Virgin Blue has revealed how it will fund its survive and expand strategy for the recession and the expected recovery, and a search for a successor to Brett Godfrey, who has decided to leave the airline he founded in 2010, its tenth anniversary year.
The unaudited figures and operating statistics for the year to 30 June suggest the Virgin Blue group of airlines has fared slightly better than widely expected but could still loose a total of $165 million in the year as the start up costs of V Australia more than wipe out a strong domestic performance.
