Seven won from Nine, the ABC and Ten. The combined share of the non-main channels was 39.3%, which says it all about the main channel offerings last night. The Front Bar, 431,000 on Seven.
Believe it or not the highlight for the weekend (and last night for that matter) is on Seven tonight, Home Alone, promoted from the other channels to the main channel.
Seven’s entrant in the old farts film festival that Nine kicked off with Raiders of the Lost Ark on Monday night. Home Alone is at least a younger movie, released in 1990 as against 1981 for Raiders.
Nine keeps up the rotten oldies approach this Sunday night with Top Gun starring Tom Cruise in his full (short) 1986 glory.

My local cinema is showing ‘Home Alone,’ along with ‘Die Hard.’ So you can pay to see the film, as well as having seen it for free.
it’s probably due to the shortage of films to show. Some of the films now showing are probably getting a longer run than they’d otherwise expect.
