From next Sunday, Nine will be the only TV
network offering regular Sunday movies. This follows the decision by
Seven to move to a broader family-orientated approach on Sunday
evenings, and last year’s decision by Ten to abandon the Sunday evening
movie and in favour of episodic programming (Law and Order: Criminal Intent and NCIS). But Nine kept a movie at 9.30pm, and will continue to do so for the time being.
Seven will start at least four weeks of live comedy from 8.30pm on Sundays with Let Loose Live, which includes some of the comedians from the old Fast Forward group of the 80s and 90s.
Nine will be offering reality/lifestyle at 6.30pm, 60 Minutes, an episodic type US police program (such as CSI), and then a movie.
Ten will be offering a sitcom, Big Brother and then Law and Order and NCIS, while on the ABC is a combination of factual programming (at 7.30pm) then a historical UK drama or police series at 8.30pm.
