Crikey reader Julien Marr directed our attention to this story in which former Liberal leader, now EU diplomat, Brendan Nelson waved goodbye to his supporters with a simple “Thank You” banner.
Nelson, who officially stepped down as the Member for Bradfield last night, has long been a Crikey favourite, so it’s fitting we should hold a long overdue Crikey competition in his honour.
The task is simple. Email boss@crikey.com.au with “name Brendan’s banner” in the subject field and suggest a new form of words for Brendan’s farewell roadside. The winner, yes we’ll pick one, will get a signed copy of today’s First Dog On The Moon cartoon.
