How about changing the headline to ALP versus LNP or somesuch? This isn’t a presidential election, however the media treat it.
The last, federal, politician whom I can recall able to stand before a crowd of the…what’s the word..? public (not card carrying branch fodder) and move, enthuse and convince the doubters was Great Gough.
To re-coin a phrase, It’s TIME that was again the norm instead of the meaningless and insulting stunts & photo-op which serve only the parties and demeans the public, treating them as mugs. ,
The likes of Grayndler’s Fred Daley could hold a pub meeting, deal with hecklers and be carried shoulder high afterwards shame the current incumbent.
Shhhh. Don’t tell that to Morrison, for that is the sort of election he wants/wanted it to be and would be if there ever were to be another election with him involved in it. Just imagine him making his announcements and holding up his signed declarations ah la Trump.
Well I didn’t, they have let me down previously! (and I am one of them! 🙂

I don’t get the One nation voter’s attempt to own his Green offspring. Let him vote informal, early and often. Who cares?

The old joke about some people voting for a Log seems to be accurate if Amber’s note on PHONie ghost candidates proves accurate – up to 7% for ‘Pox on all their houses’ candidates.

Yes KK’s loss should be a lesson for the ALP not to parachute folks in and take electors for granted!
Failure has been no barrier and she will continue, inexplicably, to fail upwards – she must have some really compromising material on the ‘Labor’ hierarchy that explains her continual preferment over far better candidates.
From the worst NSW loss of government in modern times to dragging down the Senate vote which is quite an achievement.
Yay for Dai Le – a perfect example of a real, independent candidate.
