101 ways to sell your soul, brought to you by Rebecca Twigley.
Blues fans and fashion watchers were delighted to read of the imminent nuptials of Carlton captain Chris Judd and his girlfriend of six years, Myer fashion ambassador and speech pathologist Rebecca Twigley.
As the Hobart Mercury reported: “Considered the Posh and Becks of the AFL — and frequently photographed leading the field in fashion — the couple live in inner-city Melbourne where they top the social A-list.”
The report continued:
The couple headed to Noosa for a short luxury break where Judd surprised Twigley with a diamond ring.
So how surprised was Twigley?
Well, somewhere between the on-bended-knee moment and the happy announcement, this full-page advertisement got made — Page 6, The Age:
And for those that can’t read the clincher — that sentence up the right hand side, it says:
“Rebecca Twigley’s Choice: 1.62 carat diamond engagement ring set in 18ct white gold.”
Those interested in product placement for the upcoming wedding of the year should contact Twigley’s agent directly.*
*Accessories sold separately.
If Twigley’s actual engagement ring is only 1.62 carats, I will be astonished. I can’t imagine her settling for anything that small after being made to wait all these years.
I thought it was going to be another add for Myer shares.
Am I a pedant to point out that she’s wearing it on the right hand, not the left?
Priceless, Sophie.

If this is fair then may I nominate Adam Gilchrist for the annual award. Is there anything he hasn’t tried to flog. Even for an Australian cricketer he seems overexposed
