As if there were any doubt, this week’s scenes out of Washington reminded us that the world chaos didn’t end with 2020. Watching mobs storm the centre of American democracy, we analysed what it meant and what happens next.

We’ve also kept an eye on what’s happening in the seats of power at home and elsewhere, including the extradition application in the Julian Assange case, the ongoing response to coronavirus outbreaks, and the challenge for policymakers on wealth inequality.
