Unfortunately any speech on ethics with “god” in it is pretty compromised.
Michael: I think you’re being unnecessarily pedantic. The only example of “God” I could hear is in the final sentence: “God knows”, which is a figure of speech for “everybody knows”, rather than expressing belief in a higher being. Even atheists or agnostics (like myself) use it in speech.
Having said that, do you agree with the MP in question? He seems to have hit the right set of nails.

Indeed, if Rebekah Brooks had a shred of decency she would have resigned. She doesn’t so she didn’t.
No surprises there – you don’t get to be Chief Reptile at the House of Murdoch by having scruples.
